WE THE PEOPLE, UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF HAIRAPY, IN ORDER TO FORM A PERFECT VICTORY ROLL, ESTABLISH THE PRINCIPLES OF COLOR AND DESIGN, INSURE DOMESTIC STYLING, PROVIDE FOR THE FIGHT AGAINST HUMIDITY, PROMOTE GENERAL BEAUTY FROM WITH-IN AS WE DO FROM-OUT, AND SECURE THE KNOWLEDGE FROM VIDAL AND BEYOND TO OURSELVES AND OUR PEERS , DO ORDAIN THIS CONSTITUTION TO THE H.I.L.T.S (HAIR I'D LIKE TO STLYE)!
Meaning of 1803: Its my favorite number of course. I could make up a grand story, but honestly, I was looking for something non-committal and ambiguous. Mission accomplished. Our idea is to stay small and to make large impacts. Our slogan: "Lets Turn Heads. Period." We couldn’t do that without using the best haircolor and haircare available to us. And with over ten years of experience, we hope that you see that we are a cut above the rest.

Kai Mitchell has been a stylist for over ten years, five of them at Redken Hall of Fame and Redken Elite Salon of the Year (3x), CharlesDavid Salon and Spa. Energetic and passionate about the industry, what he likes most is the principle based education that only Redken can teach. Even though he is both Color and Design Certified, his passion lays with Business and building salons . As a salon owner and an educator, Kai is able to connect with everyone from young talent to well established Stylists/Teams/Owners. Kai has also been an accomplished editorial stylist working with five time recipient "Best Of" The Knot Magazine Award, wedding photographer, Jenni Vincenti, as well as "Best of" The Knot Magazine for Boudoir and Boston/NYC Fashion Week Photographer, Shannon Michelle. He was also part of the Curvaceous shoot in NYC for Redken.

In his words:
​Yeah, I rock bow ties. I also like fun, flirty and fearless hair. I create custom looks for every one of my guests. If you like a certain style and it doesnt work for you, I'll tell you. I'll also tell you what I think does work. I share my thoughts, even if I dont think you'll like them - diplomatically of course. I've been in the industry for over ten years now. My principles are design (cutting) and fashion forward coloring, and I continuously look for education and inspiration in everything I do. I've been known to do editorial hair and I am working towards becoming a Redken Platform Artist. Im a Redken Certified Colorist, Designer (haircut and finishing) and Redken Educator.
